Creative collaboration supports Future of Essex

It was great to hear about the work that is being implemented by partners to achieve our seven ambitions for The Future of Essex at the recent Essex Assembly event. More than 90 leaders joined together on 6 March at Chelmsford Racecourse to celebrate the impact that whole system collaboration is having on addressing the long-term needs of residents and businesses.

Delegates workshopped priority areas including; data analytics, reducing mental health incidents, building civic pride and social capital, maximising the economic, community and public health potential of new housing developments, improving educational performance, safer communities and promoting physical activity to support physical and mental health. A number of fantastic conversations took place, generating new ideas, partnerships and relationships, and building momentum behind our work.

To learn more about this work you can find a summary of the projects and their sponsors here to get involved contact essex.partners@gov.uk. Chief Officers and Leaders across Essex are also helping to shape these projects through ECEA and ELCEA.

Essex Partners will next meet in May and will set out the details of the respective projects they are sponsoring, key milestones and deliverables to support the system change that is desired. Detailed plans for the projects will be communicated via sponsors very soon and will be built into the work programmes for key boards over coming months.

The next Essex Assembly will include updates on this work and we look forward to seeing you there on 4 September 2018.
